The Everyman presents

A sold out show

Live at Elizabeth Fort, Cork City, Friday 13th August

Evelyn Grant and Cork Pops Orchestra  – A World of Music

Live at Elizabeth Fort Friday 13th August

The Everyman is proud to present Cork Pops Orchestra and musician and broadcaster Evelyn Grant (RTÉ lyric FM), who brings us A World of Music as part of The Everyman Outdoors at Elizabeth Fort programme.

With a group of musicians from the much-loved Cork Pops Orchestra, Evelyn will be joined by a special guest, Voice of Ireland winner Keith Hanley. Keith has proved a hit with audiences attending the Cork Pops Orchestra concerts for schools in City Hall each year.  Keith has starred in many of The Everyman pantomimes and is looking forward to singing to a live audience once again.

The Cork Pops Orchestra first performed their entertaining and lively outdoor concerts at the visit of the Tall Ships to Cork in 1991, and since then have been involved in many of Cork’s major festivities, civic and fundraising events.

The orchestra have always created programmes that span a wide range of wonderful music, from all genres and cultures.

Although the orchestra missed performing at the annual Lord Mayor’s Tea Dance in City Hall, cancelled this year because of the pandemic, the rhythms and melodies from times past and present will fill the air at Elizabeth Fort for a very special concert.

The concert is supported by the Dept. of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media – ‘Live Performance Support Scheme 2021’

Evelyn Grant and the  Cork Pops Quartet will present a series of 10 outdoor concerts in Care Homes in County Cork in August and September

This is part of ‘Cork Co Co Pops’  an expansive programme of events provided by Cork County Council to support performers and bring live events to local communities.

This initiative is also supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media’s Local Live Performance Programming Scheme.
