RTE lyric fm is truly to the forefront in its public service remit in supporting the activities of the Cork Pops Orchestra which range from concerts for schools to ‘Tea Dances for the Young at Heart’.
Managing director of the Cork Pops Orchestra Gerry Kelly comments: ‘The support, encouragement and enthusiasm I receive when working with the RTE lyric fm team is inspiring. This spirit of collaboration has been there since the station was founded and has been nurtured over the years. I can say that this type of support has given my organisation the courage to tackle and continue to explore a wide range of innovative projects, which include the use of new technologies.
